There is this suggestion that caught my attention earlier this week and I would like to see what you all think?
Instead of this current agreement:
“- if a design is selected that we would award $100 for the exclusive rights of the intellectual property and then 10 to 20% royalty is given back to the creator every month. Once for a period of time the design is inactive in the store then the rights are returned to the creator.“
This is what we are thinking:
“- If a design is selected, Bagstab will have the right to sell it on its bags in condition that the creators are given the royalty of 12 to 25% of sales. Bagstab will have the permission to use the design for advertisement/marketing and demonstrations as well. So this means that the creator retains the rights of the design but Bagstab has permission for the purposes as stated. There will be no cash award as there are no exclusive rights taken but the sales royalty will be stretched.“
Let me know if this is better especially those who are concerned with the rights of their creation.
